Arrogance! That is what it is all about. Companies that treat customers like dirt. Here we tell about some we have encountered. It seems that the behaviour is rife in the cellular phone industry but there are lots more...

Wal-mart slow, slow, slow!
Here then is how it went with tire-buying on Black Saturday, 24 Nov 2018!
First, we go in on Friday to see if they had what I wanted.
Yes, says the Walmart employee. I ask when is a good time to do this?
He advises there is no good time, but I must do it this week end if I want the wonderful price. That is $20 off per tire (Goodyear Assurance) plus some crazy low price for mounting and balancing. Grand total a couple hundred less than big name tire store. Not too shabby at all.
Now we get up in middle of night and go see Sun Rise at Wal-mart. Arrive before opening and find 3 cars in line ahead of me. Wait it out, and a few minutes after 7 AM they start checking cars in. 10 to 15 minutes each just to check in! After I get checked in I ask how long and he says probably about 2 hours. Ouch.
Go on in and drink some free coffee, send it down the river, and wait. Two hours or so later I check and learn I am next on list but it is not ready. They did have car in the bay and wheels off. Take a cold tater and wait.
Finally, a few minutes after 11, it is ready! Over 4 hours time wasted in this place!
So, we wonder, presuming all 3 in front of me bought tires, they are able to install ONE set of tires an hour! Why would this be?
All I can figure is it was planned that way. Offer was a screaming loss leader and they were told to behave that way so fewer sets of tires would be sold before the BF prices went away. Not sure I would do it again, but am pleased with the purchase.
